Anyway, I then adjusted the pattern size for the interface and transferred the lines to be cut. I cannot believe this is all I have at this point.

As it appears, I had every reason to be stressed. I originally laid the fabric I was cutting on top of the lining, so that the fabric would glide & not stick to the surface. & of course, I cut through it.

Cutting the fabric was very stressful, as usual.

So, on Sunday, I worked hard and made the pattern for the upper front part of the dress.

I ended up having to settle for a cotton nightgown in dirty ivory.

I finally started on the dress. For about a week, all I had was the pattern for the upper part of the back side. This weekend, I dreamed that all I had on my wedding day was the fabric that was cut out for the upper part of the back side.

Making buttons is fun :)

Due to unforeseen circumstances, I was unable to work on the vest for a while, but I finally closed off the sides. Yay!

Almost done!!! I just need to close off the sides, make buttons and button holes!!

Sewing the outer fabric to the lining. The left came out a bit crooked :(

Things are starting to take their shape! Here are the tie ends :)

I love fusing. 2 pieces of cloths bonding to become 1. w/a simple little iron! So much fun. I think I’ll interface the entire top portion of my dress too, rather than just the neckline. I think it’ll look nicer since the fabric is so soft, just like this.

I almost forgot the interface.
